I'm Kasey K!

Photography is my passion & I love working with people to create beautiful & unique images. I Specialize in high school Senior Portraits, & Business Headshot Portraits! I also enjoy photographing Engagement Portraits, Maternity Portraits, Kids Portraits, & Family Portraits as well!

Since I was a lil girl, I’ve LOVED Art! From Drawing to Painting to Photography all thru elementary school on up to high school; I took every art class, participated in art club & all the advanced photography classes that were available to me growing up in the small town of Delavan, WI. I built up my portfolio of artwork & I graduated from Delavan-Darien High School in 2001 and was accepted into my art college of choice- MIAD.

An interesting fact about me: going into my first semester of college, I wanted to be a PAINTING Major. Yep! It’s true! But when I realized that all that I wanted to paint were PEOPLE from Amazing PHOTOS—I changed my mind. I found myself very interested in documenting with photography- people in the street, on the bus, in the mall--capturing moments of everyday life & realized that I wanted to use my skills within the community to help others & capture beauty with Photography.  

All my life back home & with my family, I had been very active in volunteering & helping within the community. While living in Milwaukee, I volunteered my time at a Children’s Shelter/Respite Center & became an advocate for the children thru my time & photographing within the great organization of La Causa’s Children Shelter of which became my Senior Thesis Photography Project.

 I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 2005.

Out of college, I became a Professional Photographer for Visual Image Photography (VIP) capturing school pictures, event candids, sports individuals, as well as senior portraits. After a few years, I loved working in the Senior Portrait division, & it became my creative focus within this company as I assisted in opening VIP’s Wheeling Studio in Illinois and worked as Assistant Manager/Portrait Photographer at the studio for 2 years.

Since leaving Wheeling, IL in January of 2009, my home base is Delavan, WI again, where I started Kasey K. Photo. You know ‘they’ say “Home is where the heart is!”  I am happy to be closer to my family & my support system--I love them SO much & can't express how grateful I am for all they have done in helping me achieve my dreams!

 I love the amazing people I have met & worked with & the opportunities that have come of it; participating in many fundraisers: one photographing portraits for the American Cancer Society-Relay for life Calendar & also another time heading a “Photo Booth” style fundraiser for Mary’s Room/ high school Photo Club.  I enjoy giving photography gift certificates of my time and talents to local fundraisers such as The Walworth County Homeless Shelter fundraiser, The ARC Luncheon, Delavan Chamber of Commerce Event Fundraiser & The Lakeland Animal Shelter fundraisers- So keep a look out for those raffles! I am continuing to find creative ways to help out in my local community.

As an artist, I love painting, collage art, jewelry making, and I love dabbling with new abstract artwork techniques.

From 2016-2020, I was an Artist Member of the Geneva Lake Art Foundation & Gallery 223 in Lake Geneva, WI. There I volunteered/worked and I participated in the Art shows and art sales at the gallery along with a community of over 125 different artists from all over Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.

Images above featuring Art by Kasey K. and Assemblage Art by Roberta Karstetter. We had a Mother Daughter combined Art Display for a month at Lake Geneva Library in 2020- an opportunity through the Geneva Lake Arts Foundation (GLAF) Gallery 223.

Also, something I look forward to every year is " The Art as Prayer Art Show" now called "Inspired Reflections Art Show". It is a wonderful group/community Art Show that has been going on for many years. I co-curate the Art show and participate along with my Mom Artist Roberta Karstetter and many community artists participate and enjoy the variety of types of art mediums. This show is held at Christ Episcopal Church Delavan, WI every March! 

I love to express myself creatively in a variety of ways & encourage Art making!

I am also a plant lover/a plant mom! We have an array of pothos that I propagated at home. Plus many more beauties over the years...

To keep busy & educated, within a great group of photographers, I continue to work with senior portraits, seasonal/ freelance for VIP (Visual Image Photography) & travel weekdays ‘on the road’ with them to many different schools June thru November/December. I also enjoy helping train new photographers each year through that company. 

 Oh the memories...Carting and hauling photo props and backgrounds on the road! :)

I photograph for Kasey K. Photo year-round traveling Southeastern WI for a variety of portrait sessions, & special event coverage. I am open to traveling to many states and countries too when the opportunities present themselves!
