What should I wear for my portrait session?

Do you provide guidance on posing and expressions?

Yes! I am a trained director of posing for portraits and I always ensure a range of expressions including serious looks, smirks, smiles, and laughing smiles to choose from in viewing your proof gallery. I have 20+ years of professional experience in working with people for portraits!

 

Can I bring props or personal items to the session? 

Yes! Please do! Bringing a few props would make me so happy! It allows me to be even more creative in posing and it will capture something that is meaningful to your life! It helps to incorporate your hobbies and personal interests into your photos!

 

What should I do to prepare for my session?

Check in! with Kasey K. Photo the week of your session. I will send a message a few days ahead of time as a reminder to you as well as message you to confirm on the day of your scheduled session. 

Find & Try on your outfits ahead of time & put everything in a tote bag/suitcase to bring in your car the night before your session.  If you wear makeup do a test run on how you'd like it to be, decide your hair styles & look ahead of time too, bring a mini make up kit to do any touchups in between outfit changes. Bring a water bottle. Fill up your gas tank! Make sure you have your personal props in the car too! Bring that Awesome attitude! 

Can I order additional prints or digital files later?

Of course! I would be so happy if you did! It is usually best to order within 2-3 months of your session, but I will keep your photo files for at least 2 years of availability to order.

Do you offer retouching or editing services?

Yes. I offer basic retouching/editing services including skin softening, teeth whitening, blemish removal, minor glasses glare removal, stray hair removal, and removal of distractions in backgrounds. Any special requests such as braces removal, head swap for family portraits, shirt color change, background changes, etc will be an added cost per digital image. 

 

Do you offer indoor and outdoor sessions?

I do offer both. I have a set of traveling light equipment & backgrounds that may be set up inside a chosen location. This is primarily used for business portrait headshots. This is an added cost because of the time of set up and pack up time. I am happy to discuss more details of indoor sessions. 

Outdoors is always a great option for more natural light effects- I love the variety of portrait looks and scenery as backgrounds that it allows us to capture.

 

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy? What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the session?

 Can I bring a friend or family member to the session?

Bringing a friend to your session is a wonderful way to feel comfortable and it's always great to take a couple pics with your friend or family member too- so tell them to be ready for the photo op!

 

How many outfit changes are allowed during the session?

2-hour Session usually allows approximately 4-5 outfits! Keep in mind those are quick/easy outfit changes! And it also depends on how many locations we drive to during that session time. Usually, 2 or 3 locations within a few miles are perfect.

1-hour Session -approximately 2-3 outfits! With 1 or 2 locations in close proximity.

30-minute Session- 2 outfits max! Sometimes just a quick shirt change works to give you a little more variety! Only 1 location to be explored.
