THRIFT PROPS & shops! Getting ready for a photo shoot!
HEY THERE! HOLLA! :)
The past couple months, there has been a lot of brainstorming & planning out a New, Bigger, Better & Fabulous Model/Representative Portrait Photo shoot for Kasey K. Photo! It's really going to be an Amazing Team effort for the BIG day! But I will tell you more about that after April 15th--the shoot date! I Can't Wait!
The past 2 days I have visited A BUNCH of thrift shops & antique stores in hopes to find some cool old rusty/ paint chipped & used props & accessories for the photo shoot. It was A beautiful sunshiny day! Honestly, I was ecstatic to go on this scavenger hunt & get out of the house & off of my laptop for a change! I felt like I was driving EVERYWHERE!
Here are a few SNEAK Previews of what I found that will be used for Kasey K. Photo.
Above image: a few of the cool chairs, suitcases, luggage, necklaces, flowers & props! I search for all sorts of things-but this time it was appropriate to grab some old "ugly" chairs-because the textures & colors in each item will work really well with everything I am planning in the portraits! SO EXCITED to try out these new Thrifty purchases!
I see fields of green........ :)

If YOU are interested: some of the Thrift Stores & Antique & Consignment Shops I visited, are listed here:
1. Goodwill Store- They get new items ALL the time. So I checked here -looking for cool vintagey furniture-but instead found a gold shimmery scarf & a yellow fake flower. Goodwill items pretty much furnished my first apartment! I love checking back in randomly to see what there is. My Mom LOVES Goodwill too :)

Buying up cool props is a really fun part of planning for me! If only I had room to store all of these great things and more! I enjoy bringing something unique to each portrait session that I have. Not only is it fun for me to explore & experiment bringing them into a photo, but I hope that it's a unique surprise & experience for who ever I may be working with that day!
Other ways I am prepping: lots of writing & typing & texting & emails: creating "image lists" & "video clips", writing a detailed letter to all of the people participating for the day. We had a Style Session just last nite: ideas for outfits & accessories as well as make up & what kind of hairstyles for each person. Basically we raided the ladies closets & combined & borrowed accessories too!
I am so Very Grateful for all of the help & participation & brainstorming so far! It's all coming together! I also have to Give a GREAT BIG Shout Out to Karstetter Construction to be hauling out the props & equipment that I already have to fill up a trailor & come out & help on the crew! He also helped scope out the "secret location" ....... Thanks to my DAD: John Karstetter :)

Hope you enjoyed getting the INSIDE Scoop on what's been going on with Kasey K. Photo! And now, YOU too, can have a thrifty day or make it a fun weekend! :) Thanks for dropping in to check out the blog!
